Job Description:
Summary: Equus provides computer hardware, software, and related services to ISVs, OEMs, ODMs, and other computing technology companies, both directly and through channels. The company also supplies computer resellers with configurable servers for sale to enterprises and SMB's for on-premises use. The candidate will be working in an ISO 9001 based Quality Management System environment, conducting inspections (receiving, in-process, or final shipment inspections), maintaining product and process performance data. This individual will occasionally provide support in maintaining QMS documentation, ESD verification, calibration process and other quality functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):
  • Demonstrate commitment to core values by leading, acting and behaving in a manner consistent with these values.
  • Follow company safety and quality policies and procedures.
  • Inspect and test computer components, assemblies, devices, and systems according to written inspection procedures, specifications, drawings, samples, or illustrations.
  • Use BOMs, assembly instructions, procedures, checklists, deviations, drawings, etc. to perform inspections.
  • Examine the alignment of parts and verify installation of hardware on assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Accept or reject inspected material/product based on conformance to acceptance criteria.
  • Record and maintain inspection data on appropriate forms, logs, and/or in computer database.
  • Assist in the maintenance of controlled document files and test records.
  • Follow and enforce all ESD process and procedures.
    • Conduct periodical ESD testing for carts, mats, and workstations.
  • Recommend and implement quality improvement methods.
Essential Education, Skills and Experience:
  • High school diploma and minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate, read and write effectively.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures.
  • Ability to write basic reports.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word and general computer usage.
  • Experience in using Calipers, Micrometers, Pin Gauges and Analog Surface Resistance Meters.
  • ERP system knowledge is a plus but, not required.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Pay range: $19/hour - $25/hour
