Section I: JOB PURPOSE Conducts quality inspections to ensure they fulfill given quality standards and workmanship criteria. Monitors and records inconsistencies during quality inspections and recommends necessary changes to improve quality for rejected or defective products or materials. **This is a 1st Shift position Monday to Friday - 7 am to 3 pm** Section II: ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Dimensioning of components
- First piece inspection and In-Process Inspection for manufacturing production
- Batch inspection prior to assembly
- Maintain clean and safe work area
- Documents any inconsistencies observed during quality inspections for product or material verification.
- Create internal related Non-conforming Material Reports
- Works in identification of trends for rejected or defective products or materials
- Follows established processes and procedures in the performance of normal job functions.
- Keeping track of scrap & gages
- Works with vendors, engineering and assembly on non-conforming parts
- Duties related to ISO 9001-2015
- Reworking of parts when necessary
- Washing of parts
- Uploading and approving material certifications
- Other duties as assigned
Section III: POSITION REQUIREMENTS - High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years quality experience in a manufacturing environment in a machining or quality role with demonstrated ability to produce results.
- Ability to interact with internal personnel in a cross-functional environment
- Good Mechanical aptitude
- Have competed some type of basic math and blue print course
- Basic Computer skills Experience with hand measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gage pins, thread plugs etc.)
- Experience with optical comparator and hardness tester
