We are looking for a Quality Inspector to Perform trailer inspections on trailers completed by the assembly lines using a variety of inspection standards/criteria. Measure systems to ensure they function and meet quality standards. Document any nonconformities/findings that do not meet set requirements, and ensure those findings are repaired and meet set requirements. Review and verify additional documentation with each job packet to ensure prior operations have been signed off as complete as well as visually inspecting those completed items. Requirements Knowledge / Experience / Skills
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Fill in all reports properly and completely
- Ability to use a variety of measuring and testing devices and tools
- Knowledge and adherence to all relevant safety procedures.
- Follow company policies and process standards.
- Maintains a clean, organized and safe work environment.
- Adheres to all safety procedures and environmental regulations.
- Communicate daily with manufacturing personal of any findings/nonconformities
- Performs other duties as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Requires minimum of 8 hours of standing, squatting, kneeling, pushing and pulling with a full range of body mechanics/movements.
- Occasionally required to life and carry up to 35 pounds.
- Must be able to climb and descend ladders, stairs, platforms and climb in and out of trailers.
- Must be able to operate safely and work with a variety of power and hand tools as well as compressed air safely and utilize personal protective equipment.
