Job Description:GSI lathes and produced hardware that goes onto cabinetry that goes onto airplane cabinets and doors.Supports a Zero-Defect culture by inspecting incoming materials, first article production pieces, in-process production pieces, and finished products; recording quality results and enforcing the Quality Management System.Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement inspections; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.Approves production quality output by confirming first article and in-process specifications; conducting visual and measurement inspections; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement inspections; providing feedback to production, including areas needing attention or correction; confirming corrections.Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs including DMR and RMA transactions; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.Keeps measurement equipment operating by performing calibration procedures and maintaining records; calling for repairs.Assisting the internal audit team by serving as an internal auditor, as needed.Completes safety, product, company, system, compliance, and internal surveillance audits.
