The Quality Inspector is responsible for but not limited to identifying the completed customer order with the incoming receiving report or stock pull ticket, and manufacturer's certification as applicable. They will inspect the correct quantity of parts according to the Inspection Sampling Plan Instruction and resolve non-conformances by notifying the department responsible for the rejection and notifying the supervisor for that area for instruction, if needed. The Quality Inspector will verify that the parts and quantities in the order matches the picking ticket. They will generate an Electro certification or verify that special manufacturer's certifications are attached, if applicable. They will identify combined and all international orders and place these orders in the combined area. Responsibilities:
- Identifies the completed customer order with the incoming receiving report or stock pull ticket, and manufacturer's certification as applicable
- Inspects the allotted sample parts for part number, date code/trace number, manufacturer, revision level (if applicable), quantity, condition, completeness, and FOD
- Resolve non-conformances by notifying the area responsible for the rejection and notifying the supervisor for that area for instruction, if needed
- Initials Picking ticket and incoming receiving report or stock pull ticket indicating all inspection requirements are conforming (A unique QC stamp will be assigned upon completion of training and has been trained to not allow others to use their QC stamp)
- Prints all labels for the orders in the combined shipments
- Generates an Electro certification or verifies special manufacturer's certifications are attached, if applicable
- Identifies combined and all international orders and places these orders in the combined area
- Process Order fulfill in EPDS to pack shipment
- Verifies customer order matches the Packing List and Manufactures Certification
- Identifies a part defect pertaining to the part number, lot number/date code, quantity, and manufacturer
- Uses QC Stamp to indicate that shipment has passed inspection and is ready to be released for shipment
- Places all parts, packing slip and supporting documents in the appropriate box and applies the shipping label to the outside of the box
Basic Qualifications:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Must be able to communicate in verbal and written form
- Must be able to follow written instructions
