The Position:The Quality Inspector will work to ensure our products meet the requirements and conforms to the established specifications for reliability and workmanship. Responsibilities include:
  • Use visual mechanical and electrical testing methods and tools to inspect, evaluate, and document all incoming mechanical and electrical products, machined parts and sub-assemblies
  • Move inspected material to proper receiving location
  • Work with Quality Control Inspector to maintain records of testing
  • Ensure up-to-date filing of QC-related paperwork, drawings, and part samples
  • Provide timely feedback to quality if non-conforming product is identified. Document all vendor and manufacturing non-conformances.
  • Maintain calibration of equipment and ensure it is safe and well-maintained
  • Function as part of the final Quality Control team inspecting final product for shipment
About You:
  • High school diploma/equivalent or higher and at least 5 years of experience in mechanical quality inspection
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawing specifications, dimensioning and tolerances.
  • High level knowledge of measuring instruments, gauges, meters, or measuring devices of a specialized nature
  • High level of mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Solid computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel and ability to create inspection reports
  • Ability to follow quality standards and processes such as ISO 9001/2015
  • Ability to work effectively with groups of people from different disciplines in a cooperative effort
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy are required
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and organizational skills
  • High level of mechanical and electrical aptitude
