The Position:The Quality Inspector will work to ensure our products meet the requirements and conforms to the established specifications for reliability and workmanship. Responsibilities include:
- Use visual mechanical and electrical testing methods and tools to inspect, evaluate, and document all incoming mechanical and electrical products, machined parts and sub-assemblies
- Move inspected material to proper receiving location
- Work with Quality Control Inspector to maintain records of testing
- Ensure up-to-date filing of QC-related paperwork, drawings, and part samples
- Provide timely feedback to quality if non-conforming product is identified. Document all vendor and manufacturing non-conformances.
- Maintain calibration of equipment and ensure it is safe and well-maintained
- Function as part of the final Quality Control team inspecting final product for shipment
About You:
- High school diploma/equivalent or higher and at least 5 years of experience in mechanical quality inspection
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawing specifications, dimensioning and tolerances.
- High level knowledge of measuring instruments, gauges, meters, or measuring devices of a specialized nature
- High level of mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel and ability to create inspection reports
- Ability to follow quality standards and processes such as ISO 9001/2015
- Ability to work effectively with groups of people from different disciplines in a cooperative effort
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy are required
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and organizational skills
- High level of mechanical and electrical aptitude
