Miller Brother Staffing Solutions is seeking qualified, reliable candidates for a Quality Inspector position this is a 3rd shift position with a starting pay rate of $17/hour. Quality Inspector Shift: 3rd shift: 11pm-7am Sunday through Thursday. Will train on 1st shift 7am-3pm Monday through Friday Pay Rate: $17/hour to start, will increase to $18/hour at hire Screening process: resume submittal to the company, in person interview with the company ***Candidate must pass a drug screen and be open to a criminal background check***Job Summary Under the guidance and supervision of the Quality Manager, this position is responsible for the quality and integrity of our manufactured product. Essential Duties
- Perform inspections on raw materials and finished goods to determine their acceptability using provided documentation.
- Types of inspections will include:
- In process inspections - this will make up the bulk of the inspection time, walking between work centers to verify that the parts being produced continue meet or exceed the quality expectations.
- 1st Piece Inspection Finished goods production inspection Shipping Fabrication order inspection Pre-shipment inspections Incoming raw material inspections Rejected raw material inspection/verifications and nonconformance entry (Step 1 of 3)
- Types of measuring equipment to be used includes: Calipers Measuring Tapes Taper Gauges Force Meters Torque Meters Height Gauges Durometer Gauges Optical Comparator Ultrasound thickness Gauges Various custom-made and part-specific gauges and fixtures.
- Record finished production into inventory.
- Provide assistance to the Quality Manager for projects related to research and development, production technology and quality control as applicable.
- Maintain close working relationship with production personnel to ensure a smooth and efficient production flow of quality products
- Maintain clean, efficient and properly operating inspection equipment and environment.
- Aid in Quality system maintenance including: Data Entry Capability study and FAI measurements Document filing Participate in departmental process audits.

- Detects and reports any faulty equipment, defective material, improper operation, unsafe or unusual conditions to a supervisor or other responsible manager
- Seeks to always improve production processes, product quality, and worker safety. Follows all written and verbal instructions.
- Completes all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of quality processes, statistical process control experience a plus.
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Must be a self starter capable of working efficiently & effectively with minimal supervision, good oral communicator, methodical, meticulous and observant.
- Knowledge of production processes and products
- Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers, tape measure, micrometers, go/no go gauges, verniers and other precision measuring tools
- Working knowledge in interpreting engineering drawings. (blueprints)
- Ability to operate tow motor and obtain valid operator's license.
