Job Description:

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Alsum Farms & Produce Inc., a grower, packer, and shipper of potatoes & onions located in Friesland, WI is looking for a full-time Quality Inspector! As a Quality Inspector, you would ensure that all products coming into the facility are consistently high quality and adhere to relevant specifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Inspect all fresh produce arriving at the facility before it\'s accepted into the warehouse Document issues noticed during inspection process and discuss inspection results to the Quality Supervisor Recommend adjustments and changes to increase product consistency Inspect produce returned by retail customers to determine cause of credit and evaluate who is responsible and how to reduce future issues Comply with all aspects of the food safety programs and assist with recordkeeping requirements Attend seminars and educational conferences to stay up to date on USDA standards and company quality standards Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of fresh produce Forklift certification preferred but we are willing to train Why the Quality Inspector position is important to Alsum Farms & Produce: Without a proper inspection, we couldn\'t provide the highest quality field to fork potatoes and other fresh fruits & veggies to retailers.
