What You Can Expect from the Role
The role of the Quality Inspector is to interpret technical documents such as drawings and work instructions.
You will ensure products are inspected on a timely basis to ensure production flows continuously, document test data into computer systems as required and test and/or Inspect manufactured components for the relevant product line.
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
* Ability to read and follow instructions and use measurement tools.
* Responsible for awareness and compliance as applicable to the requirements of ISO9001 and customer standards and test requirements.
* Communicate with Quality Engineers regarding the status of inspection/testing results.
* Identify continuous improvement opportunities.
* Ensure work areas are 100% free of FOD as required.
* Assist in lean initiatives within the quality department.
* Interpretation of technical information required (such as drawings and work instructions).
* Required knowledge of in-process, final inspection, and/or testing of all product within their value stream(s) as assigned by the Quality Coordinator/Supervisor or Quality Inspector/Tester - Lead.
* Communicate with other departments as to non-conformances, reports, and documentation.
* Required to change jobs within Quality Department to meet tight deadlines at short notice.
* Process products with quality failures.
* Conduct bi-annual inventory.

Essential Criteria
* Detailed oriented.
* Responsible for awareness and compliance as applicable to your role and the requirements of ISO9001.
* Skilled in all methods of verbal, oral and written communication.
* Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Take initiative to identify and resolve problems.
* Use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
* Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself and other individuals to make improvements or take preventative or corrective action
* Consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions, to recommend the most appropriate course of action.
* Using initiative to adjust actions in relation to others' actions.
* Ability to read drawings and use measurement tools.
* Ability to operate various testing rigs and tools.
* Experience with responsibility for internal audits.
* Basic Quality Assurance, measuring and test equipment knowledge.
