Every product that leaves our factory has been designed, engineered, and produced for exclusive use in North America. U.S. Boiler Company is a subsidiary of Burnham Holdings, Inc. We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team! This position inspects products at various stages of the production process to ensure quality and reliability. This is a full-time position located in Lancaster, PA. Hours are Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM. Occasional mandatory overtime with a 5 AM start time. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Reads & interprets engineering drawings/blueprint reading, schematic diagrams, bills of material and other documentation needed to perform inspections.
- Inspects boilers, sub-assemblies, kitted cartons, machine castings, and other components.
- Quarantines nonconforming product and writes nonconformance reports. Processes NC material per manager's requests.
- Assists with testing of components or completed boilers.
- Assists with programming of controls.
- Uses various measuring equipment such as calipers, bore gauges, and thread gauges.

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 2+ years of quality inspection experience preferred. ASME experience and/or boiler experience a plus. Mathematical skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to learn other mathematical functions, as needed, to perform other duties. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database software; manufacturing software and word processing software. Basic Microsoft Word & Excel knowledge.
