Custom Mold & Design is currently seeking a 1st shift Quality Inspector to join our team! This role is responsible for understanding, communicating, and verifying conformance to internal and external quality standards. Shift: 1st Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm. This is an on-site position. The typical pay range for this role: $19.93 - $29.89 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, internal equity and other relevant factors. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Preferred 3 years quality experience in a manufacturing environment with one year of CMM programming (PCDMIS). Knowledge of systems implementation including ISO 9001 and AS9100 preferred Experience with basic measurement tools (micrometers, tool scopes, etc.) Knowledge of blue print reading / GDT An understanding of component and/or mold manufacturing and ability to make decisions on in process tolerancing. Essential Duties: Work cooperatively with all employees. Program and operate CMM. Initiate, perform and maintain inspection instructions for receiving, in-process and final inspections. Develop and/or adapt inspection equipment to meet quality standards, make suggestions with regard to procedures, standards and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product quality. Investigate and determine cause of quality issues; assist production and other personnel with Corrective Action process Assist in the handling and documentation of nonconforming product. Assist in maintaining the calibration system. Other tasks as assigned by supervisor. Work Conditions & Physical Demands: This is a non-smoking, professional tool shop with normal lighting, climate control. The shop environment may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in a tool making and/or molding shop.
