PURPOSE: Inspectors/Test Technicians shall be required to perform receiving inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections using various types of inspections along with using various types of inspection equipment and gages. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintaining regular and punctual attendance according to shift-times or a pre-arranged work schedule.
- Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Wear and maintain proper personal equipment (PPE).
- Receives and unloads incoming customer product and reviews information on purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers.
- Logging of all relative customer information for system tracking, and filing of customer related documents, numerical and alphabetical, such as customer purchase orders and related drawings.
- Staging the Planning area of prioritized work ready for plan and process review and implementation.
- May operate pallet jack, wheeled carts, or dollies for the loading and unloading of supplies and production orders.
- Tag identifying orders or individual part configuration for traceability purposes.
- Delivers items to requisitioning departments.
- Inspects shipments for damages or defects; notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
- Maintaining part configuration and tagging as appropriate.
- Visual inspection of incoming product.
- Replenish Shipping and Receiving supplies.
- Operators will be exposed to odors such as forklift fumes (propane gas) and truck exhaust fumes (carbon monoxide).
Required Skills
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
- Must be detail oriented and quick learner.
- Organization skills.
- Basic computers skills (such as MS Word and MS Outlook) involving scanning and documentation of customer related documents, taking and downloading of photos, and email communications.
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
- Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Knowledge of light equipment operation and/or maintenance.
- Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods.
- Excellent vision (whether or not corrected) including normal color vision.
- Good communicator with ability to represent the company in a positive manner.
- Ability to work alone or as a member of a team, good cooperative skills.
- Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, & divide).
