Primary Activities/Duties:
- Conduct final inspection and in-process inspections on manufactured and finished good products.
- Ensure all required check sheets are being used and filled out correctly.
- Perform first article inspection on new or changed jobs to ensure that they are being performed in a proper manner and to the requirements of the Article Text and drawings.
- Prevent non-conforming product from leaving area until corrected.
- Ensure product shipping meets packaging requirements.
- Assist warehouse associates with product quality questions/inspections.
- Provide immediate feedback to operators and supervisors of any defects found.
- Feedback to include education on blueprint reading and proper use of measuring gages.
- Provide daily feedback to Quality Engineers on areas of concern and types of defects being found.
- Provide daily feedback to Quality Manager on daily failure rate.
Physical Requirements:
- Stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the work shift.
- The ability to lift 25 - 50 pounds to waist level and up to 25 pounds above the shoulders.
- Work at a computer and keyboard occasionally throughout shift.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Have high school diploma or GED.
- Advanced blueprint reading and hand-held gages & measuring equipment experience.
- Must also be computer literate with a working knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Inspection experience preferred.
