Job Description:
Job DescriptionSummary:The Quality Inspector-Surveillance supports the organization in the development, maintenance and execution of a quality control program that will allow the business to continually improve. In addition, Quality Assurance VSI will help ensure that supply being delivered from vendors and product being shipped to customers meets the expected standards and specifications.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Inspect materials and parts in manufacture at Vendor facilities for quality and accuracy.
  • Verify processes in use against engineering drawings and approved specifications for compliance
  • Monitor and verify all testing follows test procedure to include redlines authorized by Engineering.
  • Identify and capture NCRs; submit relevant NCRs requiring TEI engineering disposition into TEI database.
  • Liaise with customer and third-party Quality representatives in pursuance of and compliance with contractual obligations
  • Coordinate third party inspectors to witness on Trendsetter's behalf.
  • Support on internal, external & project specific audits where required
  • Conduct ad hoc audits or investigations into particular quality problems so that root causes are identified and effective corrective and preventive measures are put in place
  • Prepare QC reports for TEI and Customers.
  • Provide expediting feedback to TEI project team.
  • Attend and report on quality/expediting status at project meetings.
  • As necessary, perform other duties, requiring essentially the same level of skill & responsibility
  • Support any new quality initiatives as required
  • Be familiar with company HSE policies and procedures
  • Share knowledge & best practice across the company
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or at least 5 years of previous experience related to quality control, preferably within the oil & gas industry
  • Advanced skills in dimensional measurement and verification, utilizing all necessary tools
  • Certified Welding Inspector, Level II NDE (VT, PT, MT, and UT) certifications preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness, plan and organize work in an efficient manner, and work well under stress and time pressures
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines with changing priorities
