Work Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibility: The X-Ray Operator will test parts for defects, and deviations from specifications. May use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment.Specific Duties:
- Incumbent must handle hazardous waste in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and company policy.
- Perform system capability checks.
- Process parts per applicable specifications.
- Know practical theory and be familiar with and able to use manuals and source books for assistance in utilizing techniques.
- Keep area clean and adhere to safety procedures.
- Meet efficiency standards.
- Move inventory when working on X-ray inventory
- Stock cartons of new film and box exposed film for x-ray storage.
- Perform additional duties assigned by department supervisor and/or Level III.
- Records on a daily basis all work performed and correct distribution of work time identifying same by operational codes. Must follow number routing card in sequence.
- Keeps work area clean, orderly, and in safe condition, following all safety rules.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.
