We are seeking at least two qualified and highly motivated candidates to join our growing corporate quality management program to help ensure quality under our large contracts with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other federal agencies.As Contract Quality Assurance (QA) Manager (reporting to ERG's Corporate QA Manager), the selected candidates will have primary responsibility for managing quality assurance for several of the large EPA and/or other federal contracts under which ERG provides environmental engineering and science services. Candidates should be highly motivated with the skills to work well individually and as part of a team and to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment. We are interested in hearing from very experienced candidates as well as candidates earlier in their careers who are excited about this opportunity (we will provide additional training as needed). Positions range from full-time to half-time.Job Description:Leading development and implementation of QA plans at the contract levelTraining ERG and subcontractor personnel in contract-specific QA requirementsWorking with project teams to develop, review, implement, and manage QA plans at the project levelSupporting development, revision, and review of Standard Operating ProceduresConducting QA assessments to determine QA/QC effectiveness and compliance with contract-specific QA requirementsWhen quality issues arise, conducting root cause analysis and addressing and documenting corrective actionsLeading or participating in internal and external quality auditsTracking QA metrics across multiple contracts and documenting QA/QC activitiesAssisting in developing and refining contract-specific Quality Management Plans (QMPs) and related contract- and project-level quality documents and practicesGenerally providing guidance, oversight, and support for ensuring the quality of our work at the contract levelAt the corporate level, selected candidates will work with other members of ERG's corporate quality team to coordinate and ensure consistency of ERG contract-level quality activities and help support the growth and continual improvement of ERG's corporate QA programQualifications and Skills:Required:Bachelors' or Masters' degree (minimum GPA 3.0)At least five years of relevant experience as a quality manager or in a similar or related roleDemonstrated commitment to quality and excellenceDemonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and lead when appropriateDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a teamDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writingDemonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects and tasks, many with tight deadlines, to meet project goalsStrong project management skillsStrong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skillsExperience with work that must meet federal (e.g., EPA, Food and Drug Administration, Department of Defense) QA requirementsFamiliarity with QA standards, systems, processes, and/or toolsDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Word, and ExcelThe following are a plus:Qualifications or experience in engineering or science disciplinesExperience with work and/or quality management under EPA and/or other federal contractsKnowledge of analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving techniques necessary to perform professional scientific/engineering workFor one of the positions, local to the Research Triangle Park, NC, area (to enable occasional visits to and work at our RTP locations)$75,000 - $134,000 a yearERG offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits, including health and dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, educational benefits, FSAs, a generous 401k plan, profit sharing, an EAP, 11-20 paid vacation days per year, 10 paid holidays per year, 56 hours or more of sick leave (based on the state you work in) per year (pro-rated for part-time) and more.
