Position Summary:
The Quality Management System (QMS) Lead is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and overall outcomes. This role involves collaborating closely with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement, develop strategies, and implement solutions that align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze current processes to identify areas for improvement.
* Develop and implement process improvement strategies.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather input and feedback.
* Conduct data analysis to support process improvement initiatives.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes.
* Facilitate cross-department collaboration to enhance operational effectiveness and profitability.
* Lead the transition from legacy practices to an integrated, consistent, and consolidated management system.
* Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company objectives.
* Maintain and update the QMS, including work instructions, documents, and records.
* Train and lead employees in all aspects of the QMS.
* Promote and assist problem-solving capabilities ensuring proper identification of root causes.
* Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders.
* Manage technical writers to ensure clear, accurate, and comprehensive documentation of processes and procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong leadership and management skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
* Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, etc.
* Proficiency in using tools like MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Lucidchart.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 Standard; lead auditor training is a plus.
* Ability to travel 30-50%.
Preferred Experience:
* 3+ years as a Quality Systems Lead or Quality Specialist Lead.
* Experience in manufacturing, preferably in a quality or continuous improvement role.
* Familiarity with ERP systems; construction and manufacturing experience is a plus.
