The Quality Manager will oversee and implement quality systems to ensure customer satisfaction, acting as a liaison between suppliers, customers, and internal teams to address quality concerns. They will drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage customer complaints, and develop supplier quality programs to uphold high standards across operations.

Description

The Quality Manager (Aerospace / Automotive Industrial Manufacturing) Will:

  • Act as the company's Management Representative, ensuring compliance with quality standards and certifications, with a focus on automotive and aerospace.
  • Develop and implement quality specifications, standards, inspection techniques, and sampling procedures.
  • Establish and maintain internal auditing processes to uphold company quality certificates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, sales, and accounting) to gather input and make informed quality-related decisions.
  • Guide, support, and mentor the quality team to drive continuous improvement.
  • Utilize the ERP system to ensure efficient traceability and suggest improvements to minimize labor efforts.
  • Prepare and deliver quality-related reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Address customer quality concerns, oversee corrective actions, and manage containment activities, including on-site sorting.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring alignment with quality expectations and driving improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee supplier audits and maintain compliance with quality requirements for new and existing suppliers.
  • Be onsite at our Dartmouth, MA facility

Profile

  • Proven managerial experience with strong leadership skills to oversee a quality team. Experience in a Quality Manager position / title.
  • Experience in the automotive and / or aerospace manufacturing industries
  • Excellent communication skills for internal collaboration and external customer interactions.
  • Expertise in root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to quickly adapt to new computer applications.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines and manage workloads effectively.
  • Experience in training and mentoring quality personnel, ensuring skill development and readiness.
  • Ability to handle customer complaints and facilitate resolutions independently.
  • Track record of evaluating and conducting performance appraisals for team members.
  • Familiarity with training new technicians and ensuring ongoing professional development.
  • Minimum of four years of relevant experience in the quality field; BS degree preferred.
