Their in-house tooling and fixture design capabilities enable them to consistently meet PPAP requirements and achieve an exceptional on-time delivery rate of 99% or higher.DescriptionThe Quality Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Serve as the quality management representative
- Lead efforts to reduce PPM defect rates by guiding cross-functional teams through problem-solving processes
- Evaluate customer quality complaints, implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence, and maintain effective communication with customers regarding all quality actions taken in response.
- Participate in APQP meetings, identifying potential process failures and collaborating with the manufacturing team to reduce defect PPMs.
- Oversee the establishment of supplier requirements and the approval of supplier PPAPs.
- Manage the submission and approval of PPAPs to ensure they meet customer specifications.
- Interpret print specifications, determine optimal measurement techniques, and establish gauging requirements, while analyzing the use of CMM to ensure measurement system accuracy.
- Lead continuous improvement initiativesProfileA successful quality manager will posses the following:
- College degree in engineering OR equivalent experience is preferred
- 5+ years of quality management experience in the automotive or aerospace industry
- ASQ certified quality engineer/manager or relevant experience is preferred
- Trained in IATF 16949 Quality Management System and Auditing
