Job Description:

Our manufacturing company in Northwest Houston is seeking an experienced and results-driven Quality Manager to lead and enhance our quality management processes. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in Quality Management, specifically with a strong background in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), ISO standards, Lean Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can successfully conduct and oversee both internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems, policies, and procedures in alignment with APQP and ISO standards.
  • Drive Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement projects, focusing on reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and optimizing product quality.
  • Conduct, manage, and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory and company-specific quality standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze quality metrics, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.
  • Train and mentor team members on quality standards and continuous improvement principles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Management, specifically in a manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of APQP, ISO standards, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Strong audit experience, with a proven track record in leading internal and external audits.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Certification, Quality Management Certification (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager).
