The Quality Manager role will be responsible for establishing, implementing and managing a plant quality system that maintains and improves product/process conformance to customer expectations and IATF 16949 quality system in a cost-effective manner. This role is based out of Auburn, AL and would require this individual to be on site regularly.Role Responsibilities: Maintains quality manual and system compliance; ensure training is provided to all plant personnel.Ensure that parts produced meet Customer requirements and expectations.Establish quality level acceptability; Establish and control documentation to delineate operational procedures and responsibilities.Fulfill role as Management Representative.Actively participate in Accelerated Product Development (APD) process.Communicate and support Customers as necessary, directly and through inside and / or outside sales personnel.Conducts product, process and systems audits including summary report publications per procedures.Plans receiving, in process and final/dock audit inspectionsConducts investigative inquiries to seek root cause and determine preventive/corrective actions; documents and reports findings and resolutions utilizing quality tools such as CAPA, 8D, A3 and Six Sigma. Champion deployment of Donaldson Production System (DPS)Provide Supplier Development support by creating Component Scrap Reports and communicating these results with individual Suppliers. Communicate with Suppliers regarding component issue details to define acceptance criteria and reduce or eliminate the part defects.Support Engineering and Manufacturing teams as appropriate by participating in meetings and assist in other activities with DCI teams, Suppliers, and Customers on tasks and projects.Maintains a current knowledge base with respect to new Quality Assurance techniques and developments through professional associations, technical journals, and educational opportunities.Evaluates and recommends training as appropriate for Quality and related areas.Participates as part of the Environmental Management System (EMS) Team to perform activities in support of EMS (ISO-14001). Participates as a member of Leadership Team.Works with other team members in the development and execution of annual Strategy Deployment processTRAVEL: Up to 10%Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field4+ years professional level manufacturing experience3+ years of quality experience, ideally in ISO/IATFPreferred Qualifications: Experience with Lean ManufacturingManagerial or leadership experienceProven background in developing, managing, & directing others.Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems. Strengths in statistics, data analysis, process control, design analysis, problem solving (8D) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).Experience with development of internal & external Customer/Supplier relationships.Proficient in MS Office Suite, Statistics Suite (i.e. Minitab), ERP Systems (i.e. Oracle, SAP), Database Applications.
