Taconic, a global leader in the manufacturing of PTFE coated fiberglass fabric, belts and tapes is seeking a Quality Manager for our corporate office in Petersburgh, NY to administer the company quality program in accordance with customer and company requirements, including the operation of the quality control laboratories. Responsible for maintaining current ISO 9001 certification as well as taking the lead in the transition to additional sitewide ISO certifications.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, with training in management skills and problem-solving techniques preferred. Must have statistical training with certifications preferred. Should have at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, of which 2 -3 years should be in quality administration and/or quality engineering. Good organizational and relationship building skills along with attention to detail. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize and adapt, based on changing work conditions and requirements. It is also important for the individual to have good judgment in people interactions in order to assess and implement effective practices and programs that motivate employees to practice good customer service and to maintain a working environment that is both safe and respectful to coworkers. Must have excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
PC literate with experience with MS Office preferred. Salary range $105,000 - $125,000 per year.
