Job Description:
Quality ManagerLocation: Morgan City, LAPosition Overview: The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing the quality functions of a construction project, ensuring compliance with both internal and external standards. This includes managing quality assurance, control, and project testing programs, developing and writing program materials, implementing corrective actions, and monitoring the effectiveness of solutions. The role involves regular communication with project vendors, customers, and company personnel regarding quality functions and leading the project's quality team.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee quality functions of a construction project.
  • Manage, monitor, administer, and maintain quality assurance, control, and project testing programs.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Research, develop, and write program materials to support project objectives.
  • Identify and implement corrective actions to address product or service quality issues.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
  • Regularly communicate with project vendors, customers, and company personnel regarding quality functions.
  • Lead the project's quality team to ensure activities are carried out according to specified objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of combined experience in quality management, project management, project engineering, or construction management.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in quality systems management.
  • Familiarity with quality control and assurance principles.
  • Knowledge of USCG, ABS, SOLAS, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced blueprint reading skills.
  • Ability to supervise and read/interpret standards, codes, and specifications.
  • Basic computer skills using MS Office applications.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in welding and/or NDT is preferred.
Skills:
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance and control principles.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing quality programs and corrective actions.
  • Advanced blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
  • Ability to lead and supervise a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (USCG, ABS, SOLAS, etc.).
  • Proficiency in using MS Office applications.
