Job Description:
New Flyer, a leader in the bus manufacturing industry, is searching for an experienced Quality Manager to oversee and enhance the quality assurance processes across all production stages. As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer expectations. Your strategic vision and strong leadership will help foster a culture of quality throughout the organization.Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement quality management systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards
  • Lead the quality assurance team to conduct regular audits, inspections, and assessments
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to rectify quality issues and enhance production processes
  • Provide training and support to staff on quality standards and procedures
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action plans for non-conformance issues
  • Communicate effectively with senior management, suppliers, and customers regarding quality-related matters
  • Ensure that quality control measures align with customer requirements and industry standards
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the organization
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Quality Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the transportation or heavy-duty vehicle industry
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and regulatory compliance
  • Experience with ISO 9001 standards and implementation of quality management systems
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret quality data
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite
