In Pulaski are our specialists for imaging, digital printing and release papers. In addition to sales and distribution for North America, the more than 100 employees take care of converting and packaging for the domestic market.
Our Quality Manager is the quality assurance liaison between Production, Supply Chain, Product Management, Sales and Suppliers. The position assures that all materials sold out of the FSNA operation comply with the customer's quality specification or get dispositioned in accordance with eth company's policies. This position also handles all customer complaints, their root cause analysis and development and introduction of countermeasure. The Quality Manager is responsible for the direct supervision and training of QA department members. Also, in the QM's responsibility falls the selection, installation and training, as well as maintenance and calibration of all test equipment at FSNA.
The daily quality assurance tasks including product release and proper disposition is part of the responsibility. The Quality manager also coordinates any Supplier related quality issues with purchasing and production departments.
For any quality systems and compliance matters such as ISO, FSC, the Quality manager liaises with the FSNA HSE manager and central Group functions.
Responsibilities:
* Quality review and release of daily production
* Decisions on blocked or defective material that have been escalated (beyond daily QA tester decision making)
* Organize cataloging QA defects for Converting and Coater operation
* Must work well with all levels of organization and customers.
* Implementing the Quality Management System into Converting and Coating operations. This would also include development of new testing methods or procedures.
* Support converting and coating trials for new customers, existing customers, and existing products.
* Support Lean Manager in development and implementation of Process Improvement Initiatives while meeting customer quality expectations.
* Track overall quality performance of coating, converting and subcontractors.
* Provide customer complaint investigation and corrective action follow-up.
* Provide COA's to the customer as needed
* Develop packaging specs for FSNA and sub-contractors.
* Create monthly QA reports
* Create and manage ISO documents, procedures and audits in cooperation with HSE manager and VP of Operations. Includes Risk Assessments.
* Train Production Supervisors, Operators and Auditors on QA processes.
Requirements:
* BS degree or equivalent education and experience in the manufacturing quality process
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word
* Understanding of converting, coating and basic quality testing and statistics desired
* Flexibility and ability to work in hybrid mode, with minimum daily hours on site, as agreed with VP of Operations
* Good communication skills in all different types of settings (internal operations, customers, suppliers, and international colleagues)
* Experience in Complaint system as well as other Business Management software. SAP experience preferred
Salary Range starting at $95,000
