Reports: President - Rice Industries Position Summary: We are excited to attract a Quality Manager who has proven leadership skills to help shape a high-performing team towards operational excellence. This position will report to our President and will be responsible for providing technical and quality direction and overseeing all aspects of our quality and technical production process. Requirements Knowledge:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
  • Understanding of all processes being followed in the facility in relation to all technical data, and performance on equipment.
  • Direct the tracking of defects, test results, or other regularly reported quality control data.
  • Instruct staff in quality control and analytical procedures.
  • Document testing procedures, methodologies, or criteria.
  • Ability to create department key performance Indicators and mentor and develop team.
  • Produce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, daily production quality, root cause analyses, or quality trends.
  • Interface with Customer to review and confirm quality complaints and provide related RCFAs and Corrective actions.
  • Review statistical studies, technological advances, or regulatory standards and trends to stay abreast of issues in the field of quality control.
  • Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to production management or staff.

Education & Experience
  • 8-10 years' experience minimum leading quality programs in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience leading ISO, FSSC, SQF & FDA audits
  • Experience managing customer complaints and audits
  • Advanced knowledge of Quality Systems includes SOPs, change controls, Deviations, CAPAs and risk assessment
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field.
  • Required Certificate(s): CQE, PCQI, EMP, CGMP FSSC, HACCP, CFSQA required OR the willingness to get the certs after employment begins.
  • Six sigma certification is preferred.
