Sapphire HR Solutions is proud to present this opportunity for our well-established manufacturing client in Northeast Ohio:Quality Manager - Manufacturing We're seeking a dynamic Quality Assurance Manager to lead the team and drive excellence across all manufacturing processes. Position Summary: As the Quality Assurance Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our systems, processes, and procedures. Your focus will be on continuous improvement, lean practices, and fostering strong customer relationships. Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Lead and manage the Quality Assurance Department, implementing robust processes using lean principles and delegating appropriately.
  • Hands-On Approach: Dive into all aspects of Quality Systems functions.
  • Team Performance: Develop and manage the performance of our Quality Assurance personnel, providing positive reinforcement, appropriate delegation and corrective measures as needed.
  • Accretidations: Ensure controls are in place to maintain accreditations.
  • Customer Relationships: Establish and solidify long-term relationships with our valued customers.
  • Non-Conformance Management: Handle non-conformance processes, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and customer documentation submissions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Accurately interpret blueprints, technical sketches, and customer documents.
  • Analytical Thinking: Solve practical job-related problems with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Audit Representation: Represent the company during quality system audits by customers or third-party vendors.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively support our process of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (engineering or technical field required; advanced degree preferred).
  • Experience:
    • Quality department management experience.
    • Minimum of five years of supervision in a manufacturing environment.
    • Deep knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
    • Established relationships with OEMs and first-tier suppliers (minimum 5 years).
    • Six Sigma and lean manufacturing experience.
