Quality Manager
This is a highly dynamic role that involves departments and project teams throughout the life cycle of a set of assigned projects in a proactive manner to mitigate risk exposures. Set project quality management objectives through customizing the Quality Program for assigned projects. Oversee project teams' execution of the Quality Program to minimize rework and increase profit retention.
Essential Functions
* General
* Vet lessons learned from project teams for content validity and proper context
* Facilitate collaboration as needed with key stakeholders
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficient cross functional operations
* Champion operational excellence
* Review departmental SOPs and ensure compliance with project teams
* Strong self-starting and communication skills
* Audit project quality programs and communicate results
* Recognize and communicate common deficient items including methods to avoid
* Acting advocate and resource to organizational departments and project teams
* Train project teams and subcontractors on quality initiatives and processes
* Solicit feedback and present to leadership
* Pre-Construction
* Aid in completion of constructability reviews
* Review selected supplemental instructions/specs for completeness
* Review contract quality language
* Provide guidance for; temporary heat and dehumidification planning, identifying project mockup and testing needs, net value engineering analysis, water intrusion control planning
* Procurement
* Ensure schedule quality analysis is completed at scheduled intervals.
* Define DFOW
* Review project sprinkler sign off strategy
* Review building drain assembly analysis
* Ensure Pre-Op meetings are scheduled, and proper agendas are being used. Attend critical meetings as needed
* Review finish floor assembly build up analysis
* Construction
* Ensure all summit meetings are held
* Facilitate QA/QC inspection customization and program roll out workflow
* Track Material Verifications
* Review benchmark management procedures
* Ensure implementation of various planning and analysis from Procurement
* Review ADA Compliance
* Review firestopping inspections log
* Review Occupancy roadmap
* Turnover & Close Out
* Facilitate project punch list and turnover program planning
* Review equipment commissioning, training and turnover statuses
* Ensure strong project finish
Required Experience
* A bachelor's degree in an area of specialty and 5-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area is a plus.
* Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
* Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
* Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
