HOW YOU WILL DO IT In this role, the ideal Quality Leader:

  • Asserts leadership authority while also using influence, engagement, and networking to lead strategic priorities, deliver results and champion change.
  • Leverages strong communication skills to guide/coach the Executive team, while ensuring an environment that promotes growth, teamwork, and candor.
  • Acts as a people leader by executing the Plexus' Best People strategy by focusing on and evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.
  • Promotes a free flow of information throughout the organization and communicates effectively to a wide variety of audiences.
Key Job Accountabilities: Required
  • Proficiency and proactive nature to assess and manage risks associated with regulatory compliance and product quality.
  • Ability to adapt and manage through ambiguous environments while managing evolving regulatory requirements, industry trends, and organizational changes.
  • Knowledge of organizational design strategies and experience with optimizing an organization's structure for results.
  • Capability to assess, manage, develop, and mentor Quality organization personnel.
  • Advanced knowledge in applicable industry standards (IPC, J-STD, etc.).
  • High Emotional intelligence and ability to communicate and facilitate teamwork through strong interpersonal skills.
  • Evidence of global business experience, including ability to work across cultures with empathy.
  • Evidence of courageous partnerships across executive management.
  • Evidence of influencing on behalf of people and the Quality team in support of functional objectives.
  • Knowledgeable in Lean and Six Sigma concepts and tools.
  • Expert communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledgeable in data analysis tools.
  • Strong cross-functional team building skills.
  • Ability to lead and multi-task in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to quantify and assess benefits/risks of process improvements.
Preferred:
  • Lifelong learner who cultivates innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Work experience is preferred in publicly traded company, manufacturing or services in nature, fast pace with constant need for problem solving mindset.
  • Experience with digital transformation - the ability to leverage technology to improve business results and use data and analytics to transform the way an organization understands and makes decisions related to Quality.
  • Work experience in an organization $3B - $10B.

Education/Experience Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree (MBA) preferred.
  • Six Sigma, Certified Quality Manager (CQM), or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment.
