Job Description:

We have an Oil & Gas client looking for a Quality Manager to support their project in Huntsville, TX.

Work location: Huntsville, TX

Workplace: 100% on-site

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday / 50 hours a week

Assignment Type: Standard US / W2 Contract

Desired Start Date: ASAP

Tentative End Date: June 2025

Rate: Hourly with 1.5x OT

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of quality plans, procedures, and tools for the project team.
  • Collaborate with other departments and provide input on quality-related matters in project plans.
  • Oversee contractors quality activities and deliverables.
  • Serve as the Quality Assurance Coordinator (QAC) when necessary, providing guidance and resources to support other quality professionals.
  • Advise project leadership on quality concerns and assist in resolving quality-related issues.
  • Report on quality metrics and performance to the Project Quality function.

Key Duties:

  • Promote awareness of quality standards throughout the project.
  • Develop and maintain the Project Quality Plan, Surveillance Programs, and related procedures.
  • Coordinate activities between the quality team and other project disciplines.
  • Ensure quality personnel are trained and up to speed on project requirements.
  • Oversee contractor quality staff assignments and ensure their compliance with project standards.
  • Review and approve contractor quality documents and deliverables.
  • Conduct audits of contractors and project team activities, ensuring findings are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Report on project quality metrics and ensure effective communication across the team.
  • Collaborate with the Start-up and Operations teams to ensure smooth project turnover.
  • Support ongoing quality improvement efforts and functional initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in project construction or quality assurance/control within engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Significant experience in managing quality assurance for large-scale projects, particularly in the energy sector.
  • Familiarity with global contractors and suppliers involved in production facility projects.
  • Auditor certification is preferred, with experience conducting and managing quality audits.
  • Proficient in common software tools (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
