About The Opportunity
This position has primary responsibility for ensuring customer and business requirements are met by promoting employee engagement, managing the plant Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with the ORBIS QMS and driving continuous improvement.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints through execution, facilitation, continuous follow up, communications, and/or re-work (including on-site)
* Communicate, and problem solve with customers and the organization as needed
* Manage product/process trials
* Develop capable production processes (new and existing product)
* Drive execution of, maintain, improve and train as it relates to local process ownership, ORBIS production system, Quality plan, process capability, calibration, internal audits, cross plant audits, Corrective and Preventive Action, and the Document Management System
* Monitor, analyze and report performance metrics (to local and corporate)
* Lead / Promote problem solving and ensure continuous improvement utilizing the CAPA system, designed experiments, Six Sigma/Lean methodologies, and other problem-solving methodologies
Education Requirements:
Required - Bachelor's degree, preferably in Quality or Engineering
Experience Requirements:
Required - 5 years of relevant work experience
Required - 3 years of quality leadership
Travel Required:
Up to 15% travel required
