Whether you are looking for an assembly position or a career in manufacturing management, you can thrive as a member of our team.SUMMARY:The Quality Manager will be responsible for developing and supporting the Quality strategy, policies, processes, standards, and systems for the Company. Collaborate and train Team Members for use quality method and tools and support Plant for improvement initiatives. This will include auditing to ensure compliance to Android Business Systems, customer requirements, and other standards.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and maintain Android Business System quality owned processes to improve metrics and key process indicators (KPIs). Ensure process meet IATF 16949:2016 and customer specific requirements.Coach, train, and evaluate local site performance based on Android Business System, key performance metrics, and internal quality scorecards.Lead contract and other audits with the local plants regarding quality contractual obligations, APQP, MSA, and results of reverse FMEA on the site.Lead improvement projects regionally or for the site, if necessary.Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on select commodities to support the plants for the during on-going assembly activities. Work closely with the advance quality team to collaborate on regional solutions to commodity related quality concerns.Review and approve, in some instances problem solving for the regional plants. Lead training and support complex problem-solving using root cause analysis tools. Evaluate plant performance related to problem solving. Assist plant to utilize root cause analysis tools (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone) to diagnose/prevent/correct failures during program life.Collect, analyze, and evaluate warranty data for specific customer. Present and review with customer as required. Develop action plans with the plant team as necessary to address or investigate any concerns.Maintain and update Android Business system regarding supplier evaluation and development based on regional customer specific requirements.Coach and train local team on best practices related to customer trials, as required during the life of the program.Work in conjunction with plants to utilize SPC data, when required, to monitor process variation and to diagnose problems.All other duties as assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor of Science degree required; Bachelor's in Engineering preferred.Experience:7+ years in Quality field.Significant experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.TRAVEL:Travel Required: yes.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Strong knowledge of the latest Automotive tools and techniques.Automotive Quality Management System Auditing experience and managing audit programsA detailed understanding of IATF 16949:2016.Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing skills.Experience of dealing with customers and suppliersExcellent leadership and management skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.Product and process knowledge is required.Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor certification is needed.Demonstrated leadership skills.Ability to train the team.Demonstrated ability in using problem solving methodologies.High level computer skills to include Windows applications, Microsoft Word, Excel.Sense of urgency and an overall customer satisfaction focus.Candidates residing in California or Colorado are not eligible for remote positions.Avancez Assembly is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
