The Quality Manager will oversee the quality control processes at Bridgewood Cabinetry. This role is responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality, upholding our reputation for superior quality cabinetry. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Quality Manager will lead quality improvement initiatives, manage quality control procedures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems to ensure product quality meets established Company standards.
* Lead and manage the quality team, including interviewing, training, and completing performance evaluations of quality control inspectors and staff.
* Conduct inspections of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to identify and resolve quality issues.
* Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot quality problems and implement corrective actions.
* Monitor quality performance metrics and analyze data to identify trends, drive continuous improvement, and reduce defects.
* Create and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, quality audits, and certifications.
* Develop and conduct training programs on quality standards, procedures, and best practices for production staff.
* Partner with customer service to review customer complaints and returns, ensuring timely resolution and preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
* Lead internal quality audits and manage external quality certification processes (e.g., ISO standards).
* Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices in quality management.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or a related field preferred.
* 5+ years of experience in a quality management role.
* Strong knowledge of quality control methods, tools, and standards.
* Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality products.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
