You'll get the satisfaction of making great products people use and love.In this position... Champion the Quality Operating System (QOS).ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll do...
- Member of the Plant Operating Committee and responsible for keeping OCM informed of status on Quality issues.
- Develop and mentor plant personnel on the QOS, coach and train on the appropriate use of standard Quality Tools
- Champion and Deliver the plant Policy Deployment Process for Quality.
- Champion the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly Quality cadence for the plant (Daily Quality Reviews, PIC, VRT, PQR's, SAR reviews)
- Manage department direct and indirect manning
- Single point of contact for customers
- Coordinate and co-chair monthly Local Joint Quality Meetings
- Drive to implementation of corrective actions to resolve quality issues using 8D tool, 6 panel, etc.
- Resolve quality issues using 6-sigma tools
- Manage stability of the base QOS
- Identify sources of variation within the production environment effectively and efficiently
- Knowledge of and ability to execute measurement systems analysis & variable data analysis
- Determine inspection equipment and facility requirements
- Oversee the layout of parts as required
- Champion the Incoming Quality activity
- Provide feedback concerns to appropriate departments identified by dealers and customers related to quality
- Pass through management for Warranty and Ford Plant Concerns
- Review internal/external suppliers for critical characteristics process compatibility
- Review incoming quality concerns; must have experience with initiating containment, determining root cause and implementing corrective actions
- Coordinate real time supplier quality concern feedback to production departments
- Provide IQ support to contain suspect component concerns until certified stock arrives
- Oversee the review of supplier 8D's and the acceptance or rejection based on content
- Provide updates on suppliers to Purchasing, STA, and plant management
- Manage the reimbursement of plant expenses due to supplier quality concerns
- Plant lead for Quality in all New Model Launch activities
QualificationsYou'll have...
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- Strong statistical background
- Language skills as required by the job
- Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate Servant Leadership behaviors combined with outstanding Ford+ OS behaviors of Excellence

- Engineering degree preferred
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of the Ford Production System/Quality Operating System
- Working Knowledge of the following systems:

- GQRS
- QLS
