By empowering our people, reducing waste, and developing innovative and efficient systems, we support the communities and resources that spur the industries and technologies of the future.Position Overview:The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, planning and directing quality activities in support of the Company's quality assurance operations and goals, ensuring that company standards are achieved andmaintained with a targeted emphasis on Continuous Improvement.Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Manage and lead the daily activities of Quality Assurance of the Plant
  • Collect, organize, monitor, and report on information related to the functions of the Quality Assurance department
  • Establish and maintain continuity of quality related programs and/or issues between all departments and all shifts
  • Assist in the issuing, coordinating, and processing of Return Material Authorizations and Supplier Material Rejections
  • Interact with both customer and company personnel on all levels regarding quality related issues.
  • Continuously review quality processes for improvement.
  • Maintain plant and company quality standards - PPM goals Metrics.
  • ISO-9000 development and lead the audit process.
  • Ensure process documentation is maintained and controlled.
  • Maintain calibration program throughout plant.
  • Establish production quality plans and set in-process and final inspection hold points.
  • Schedule and assist in customer inspections audits.
  • Train personnel on quality processes and procedures
  • Perform other duties and projects as required.
Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Engineering or Quality discipline
  • 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Experience within manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with Kaizen methodology and Lean concepts
Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop training and train employees
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Project management
  • Computer proficiency in MS windows and office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize, follow through and build relationships
