Are you with us?!?Purpose of the job Lead Windsor Locks' Quality Department in the design, implementation, and continued execution of the Quality Management System to ensure regulatory and customer needs are met. Reporting areas include Quality Assurance, Quality Appraisal, Quality Engineering. Main responsibility areasJob Responsibilities Include:
  • Manages assigned staff. Provides coaching, support and regular feedback to staff. Prepares and conducts performance reviews.
  • Takes an active role in providing performance feedback and developing careers of direct reports
  • To act as a management resource for production areas. This includes operations within the site, as well as other Ahlstrom production locations.
  • Ensures compliance with all site procedures; state, federal and international regulations; and standards including FDA and ISO.
  • Manages the auditing programs and maintains certifications under ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO2200 and kosher status for food products
  • Oversees testing and auditing for raw materials and finished products. Works closely with Manufacturing, Purchasing and suppliers to insure appropriate raw materials are qualified.
  • Oversees and improves as needed product quality and the processes used to manufacture and convert products.
  • Assists with the identification / creation and implementation of quality-related software to analyze and report data.
  • Assists in analysis of results against plans and propose corrective action plans

  • Bachelor's degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • MBA preferred
  • At least 15 years of previous work experience in a Quality, Manufacturing with at least 10 years of management experience required.

Other Required Attributes
  • Ability to work additional hours during the week, on weekends, or outside of regular office hours may be required.
  • The ability to work in a normal office environment to include: sitting or standing for long periods of time, operating various standard office equipment, carrying paper documents/files, reaching and bending, speaking on the telephone,
  • Ability to work for extended times in a pulp mill or paper mill environment, safely walk through our manufacturing plants and rough outdoor terrain, and wearing required personal protection gear (i.e. hand, hearing, breathing, head and foot protection).
