As part of a succession plan, we are looking for a qualified Quality Manager:
Position Summary
The Quality Manager leads a team of quality professional in charge of all quality aspects of the plant, including product quality, process quality, documentation, QMS and continuous improvement. She /He is also part of the Global Quality organization of the Division and collaborates with the quality managers of the other plants to ensure consistency and best practices sharing.
We are looking for a seasoned individual with previous experience as a quality manager in the aerospace business, with a deep understanding of relevant concepts, approaches, methodology. and track record of successful audits acc. to recognized quality standards (e.g. AS9100, ISO19011, Nadcap, etc)
She/He knows the meaning of Quality in a Service provider Company and understands Quality methods and strategic tools able to lead the way to meet Company Targets and Customer Satisfaction.
This individual should also have a strong technical background and expertise in the quality assurance of products, services and manufacturing processes (preferably on special processes of IGT or Aero engines)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college .
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience PRI-Nadcap accreditation program.
- Lead Auditor iaw AS9100 and ISO19011.
Education/ Experience
- Proven experience in a Quality position in the aerospace industry is mandatory
- Proven experience as a manager of a Quality department in a manufacturing environment.
- A Mechanical/Electrical/ Chemical/Nuclear or other Engineer degree is required.
- AS/EN9100 or IS09001 experience required.
- Strong technical/engineering background preferably on special processes of IGT or Aero engines (coating is strongly preferred)
- PRI-Nadcap Special Process knowledge is highly desirable
- Previous experience with US Defense contracts is desirable
- Must have excellent communication skills and experience interacting with all levels of customers, including technical managers.Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently. Ability to work effectively with people on an individual basis and in a team environment
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred), including creation integration form Production and Quality Records.
- Must be able to read, analyze and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Ability to interpret and write technical data on Thermal Spray fields.
- Position requires experience, initiative, ingenuity and the ability to work independently to produce the highest level of quality and productivity against established standards. Self motivate and multi-task
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
- Auditor 40 hours training course (iaw AS9100 and ISO19011)
Essential Functions
The Quality Manager leads a team of quality professional in charge of all quality aspects of the plant, including product quality, process quality/QMS and continuous improvement. As such, she/is responsible of the quality of the products delivered to the customer and for compliance of the Quality Management System with aviation standards and main regulations such as AS9100, PRI-NADCAP and Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) standards. The key job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop, revise, apply and maintain quality procedures, quality plans, documents and work instructions in accordance with industry standards, customer requirements and Lincotek global divisional and group guidelines.
- Improve design and simplify the system processes iaw SO9001 and AS/EN9100 in parallel with the current ones.
- Coordinate the team to successfully perform all the certifications audits, develop reports based on inspection and audit results.
- Implement continuous improvement programs and quality culture across the plant.
- Cooperate with the other quality managers of the division to develop consistent metrics/KPI's and share best-practices.
- Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methods to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
- Read, analyze, and discuss customer-required specifications managing all qualification kick-off meetings and put decisions into actions.
- Interface with all areas of the company and its customers and suppliers on quality issues.
- Build a high-performance team that has depth in all functional areas, works effectively as a team and has a strong performance ethic. Staff the team in order to complete projects and tasks on time and within budget.
- Work on diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Exercise judgement within generally-defined practices and policies to determine appropriate action and to solve a variety of problems.
- Analyze nonconforming reports and returned products, recommend corrective actions and monitor their implementation and effectiveness.
- Participate to new developments to assure all quality issues are addressed.
- Implement methods of procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products.
- Perform a variety of duties to independently perform dimensional, visual, and non-destructive testing of diversified components and assemblies and ensure both are fabricated in compliance with engineering, industry standards, and customer-approved documents.
- Utilize 8D and DMAIC approach to problem solving and non-conformances.
- Participate in Kaizen events, promote positive employee environment, and community involvement.
- Perform all duties in accordance with all company policies, including adherence to good safety practices.
- Perform other essential duties as necessary or directed.

Work Environment
This job operates in both an office environment and a manufacturing environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computes, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, with additional hours as business needs necessitate.
Travel
Occasional overseas and domestic travel may be required to support the rapid growth of the company and group.
