Job Description:

We are currently working with a Global contract manufacturer in Litchfield County, CT that designs and manufactures highly engineered, smart solutions for its global OEM customers looking for a Quality Manager in Medical Plastics Injection Molding.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a large quality assurance team.

Ensure compliance with relevant medical device regulations and standards, including ISO 13485 and FDA requirements.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and improve manufacturing efficiency.

Manage supplier quality performance, including conducting supplier audits and assessments.

Support customer audits and visits by providing necessary documentation and information.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Develop and conduct training programs for quality assurance personnel.

Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance.

Prepare for and support external audits by regulatory bodies and customers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, or Plastics Engineering. A master's degree is a plus.

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a quality role within the medical device manufacturing industry, with significant experience in plastic injection molding. Previous management experience is required.

Familiarity with medical device regulations and standards, including ISO 13485 and FDA requirements.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Certifications: Certification such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) from ASQ is highly desirable.

This is an on-site position.

The salary is $120-150k DOE

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S., without current or future requirements for sponsorship of an employment-based visa status.
