URGENT HIRING:- Quality Material Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Material Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, and managing frozen tissue samples, supplies, and finished products in accordance with internal and external requirements. This role involves ensuring the timely and accurate flow of materials, maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system, and adhering to good documentation practices.
Responsibilities
+ Receive, store, and manage frozen tissue samples, supplies, and finished products in line with internal and external requirements.
+ Coordinate the timely and accurate flow of materials from warehouse inventory to work-in-process/production areas.
+ Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.
+ Store, issue, or prepare samples, verifying lot numbers, quantities, release status, and other unique identifiers using good documentation practices.
+ Check materials against packaging lists, invoices, freight bills, or other pertinent documentation to ensure conformity and accuracy.
+ Deliver materials to processing areas in a timely manner and maintain the proper flow of raw materials and other time-sensitive supplies.
+ Maintain and sustain organized workspaces for tissue, supplies, and finished goods.
+ Maintain accurate records and reconcile inventory errors.
+ Adhere to safety guidelines and be accountable for personal safety.
+ Supply materials to functional areas or move to and from incoming areas to maintain efficient shipping and receiving operations.
+ Comply with applicable FDA (GMP), USDA, OSHA, and company regulations, policies, procedures, or guidelines.
+ Participate in daily stand-up meetings, continuous improvement projects, and adhere to established work practices like Kanban signals and 5S initiatives.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma required; Associate's degree in Science preferred
+ Experience handling tissue samples is a plus
+ Prior medical or healthcare experience is a plus
+ Experience in a regulated environment is a big plus
+ Desire to be in the position long-term
+ Comfortable standing for long periods of time
+ Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
Work Environment
Work will be conducted in a highly regulated GMP environment. The team is currently being built and will start with around 5 members, growing to 15 by the end of the year. The company is moving into a brand-new state-of-the-art facility in Vandalia, offering significant opportunities for growth. Shifts available: 1st shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM), and 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
