Job Description:
Title: Quality Operations SpecialistLocation: Amarillo, TXDuration: 6-12 month(s) Position Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist with a strong background in aviation and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will support quality engineering initiatives, ensure compliance with customer requirements, and drive defect reduction efforts. This role involves close collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams across multiple facilities.Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and assist with First Article Inspection (FAI) activities, including resolving CAM issues, creating and tracking First Article Requirement Records (FARR), and providing status updates.
  • Plan and schedule large-scale FAI projects, ensuring plans meet customer requirements.
  • Support manufacturing Value Stream (VS) teams in reducing defects through analysis, metrics preparation, and facility containment measures.
  • Liaise between Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, Production Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to foster continuous process improvements and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) projects.
  • Identify opportunities to engage the workforce in building quality into products while maintaining compliance with requirements.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Bell policies and procedures to support cross-functional collaboration and process enhancements.
  • Work collaboratively with various levels of the organization, including plant managers, shop floor personnel, and Value Stream Managers (VSM), across multiple facilities (e.g., Fort Worth, Ozark).
Qualifications:Experience:
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in aviation preferred.
  • Continuous Improvement/Green Belt certification preferred.
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) training preferred.
  • CATIA training preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Strong knowledge of Bell's systems (ENOVIA, SAP, Qlikview) preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in an aviation-related or technical field preferred.
