This includes the consolidation of Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) Metrics, developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and assuring adherence to the ISO 9001 standard along with any applicable regulatory requirements. These key functions are in addition to supporting our Operations teams through the manufacturing and installation processes in the field along with continuous improvement activities. Job Summary Description:The Quality Programs Manager will be responsible for supporting the QMS through the consolidation and communication of critical metrics such as COPQ along with any root cause analysis Data Core functions also include coordinating with the Leadership team in standardized SOP/standard work development, process mapping of current and future states, creating visual management boards that are based upon lean manufacturing principles. Another key function is to facilitate quality incident review sessions and support the Regions on implementation of systemic corrective actions to reduce COPQ. on customer quality issues. Essential Job Accountabilities:COPQ metric consolidation and analyzation:
- Work with the Regions to gather COPQ metrics on a daily basis for issues occurring in the manufacturing facility or in the field. This will require consistent communication and follow-up with the Regions and may require coaching, training and mentoring of the teams on proper submission and completion of metrics. In addition, the data will need to be compiled, analyzed, and placed into pareto charts to identify the areas of focus for corrective action and continuous improvement activities.
Manage the corrective action process:
- Work with Regions and cross functional personnel to facilitate robust root cause analysis and countermeasures. Any key data points found, with corresponding corrective actions, will be communicated to the appropriate Leadership teams and disseminated to all Regions as part of standardization to ensure prevention of a similar failure mode.
Standard operating procedure development:
- Work with the Leadership at a Functional and Regional level to develop SOPs and best practices that can be implemented across the Operations and Project Management team for optimization.
- Day to day management of quality and project activities as needed including any additional key performance indicator (KPI) data on critical to quality (CTQ) processes, customer requirements and training of appropriate personnel in data identification as applicable.
- Involvement with suppliers, when applicable, on quality or customer related failure modes to ensure robust corrective measures have been implemented. This may also include supporting the audits of critical vendors.
Visio process mapping:
- Work with the leaders in developing process maps to optimize Operational execution of projects. This may include summarizing SOPs in a pictorial form as a 1 page reference document for Operations Team members.
Education:We are accepting applications from individuals with a minimum of a bachelor's degree program in engineering and/or equivalent experience.Knowledge, skill, and abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills are critical to success
- Ability to train personnel across regions
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and visual management processes desired
- Understanding of ISO QMS with auditing experience
- Experience using Visio is highly desired.
Physical Demands:Ability to travel and be able to visit construction job sites in a safe and proficient manner up to 50%.Additional Requirements/Skills:
