Quality SpecialistPOSITION OVERVIEWThe Quality Specialist is responsible for processing standards requests through the ticket system to update, revise, or create controlled documents in a timely and accurate manner. This role ensures that work instructions, process flows, decision maps, and other controlled documents are accurate and reflect current practices within the organization. The Quality Specialist performs internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of processes, analyzes gaps, and proposes improvements. This position collaborates with the quality team and cross-functional groups to develop, implement, train, and audit improvements to support the company's goals of increased profits, reduced Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and enhanced Customer WOW. - Manage and process standards requests through the ticket system to update, revise, or create controlled documents in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain version control and ensure all documents are properly stored and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Develop work instructions, process flows, decision maps, and other technical documents based on provided information to support clear understanding and implementation of processes.
- Ensure all documentation is detailed, clear, and aligned with organizational standards.
- Perform internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of current processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze audit findings and work with the quality team to propose and implement corrective actions to close identified gaps.
- Collaborate with the quality team and cross-functional groups to develop, implement, and train employees on process improvements.
- Support company goals of increased profitability, reduced Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and enhanced customer satisfaction through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all internal and external standards and regulations.
- Monitor processes to maintain a high level of quality, consistency, and accuracy throughout the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 years in a quality-focused role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Certifications in quality management or process improvement (e.g., Six Sigma Yellow Belt) are a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform tools, such as Power BI and Power Automate, for data visualization and process automation is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
- Proficiency in document control and quality management systems.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, and using office equipment for extended periods.
