The Quality Specialist will support product quality and regulatory compliance for our regulated and nonregulated products. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet FDA regulations and quality standards. You will collaborate with cross functional teams to monitor compliance, assist with audits, and help maintain quality management systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone starting their career in quality assurance within regulated industries.
Key Job Responsibilities:
* Support the digitization and improve efficiency of Quality Management Systems (QMS), including documentation, procedures, policies, manuals and quality records.
* Lead special customer requirements (SCR) system including establishing accounts, sourcing, processing change requests and coordinating with the appropriate business area contacts.
* Assist in maintaining compliance with FDA regulations for food products (21 CFR Parts 117 and 101) and medical gases (21 CFR Parts 201 and 213).
* Assist in preparing for and participate in internal audits and external audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for both food and medical gases.
* Conduct routine inspections of production records/documentation to ensure consistency to quality and regulatory standards.
* Help supervise and detail corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve product quality issues and nonconformances.
* Support the investigation of customer complaints and product quality issues, documenting root cause analyses and helping track action items/improvements.
* Assist with training programs on quality standards, FDA regulations, and procedures for relevant personnel.
* Maintain quality metrics and assist in generating reports for management on quality performance and compliance trends.
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
* Strong digital literacy and digitization knowledge.
* 3-5 years of related experience. Degree in lieu of experience will be considered.
* Bachelor's degree in chemistry, supply Chain, or a related field desirable but not required.
* Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or ISO standards is desirable but not required.
* Basic understanding of FDA regulations for food and/or medical gases is a plus.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Products
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and optimally collaborate with internal and external team members.
