JOB PURPOSE: The Quality Supervisor is responsible for organizing and scheduling the daily activities of the In-process Inspectors (IPI) and Final Inspectors. Ensures that customer and OFS specifications are met and cable testing is prioritized by customer ship date. Assigns corrective action and final disposition of open hold tags and follows up as necessary to ensure completion. Provides technical and hands on support to resolve quality issues.
Leads and directs the day-to-day activities of Quality Team Members and organizes workflow and scheduling. Reviews and manages staffing and planning for current and future needs.
Develops, implements, and maintains the activities of quality control systems.
Oversees development and implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products.

Makes recommendations for corrective action necessary to ensure conformity with quality specifications.
Ensures finished products conform to customer and OFS standards while satisfying good manufacturing practices.
Monitors work group activities and status of cables at test area. Helps with troubleshooting and correction of problems. Reviews cable and raw material testing procedures, test data, and documentation.
Assists with the setup of testing procedures, testing, and training as needed.
Assists product support areas in gathering and analyzing data.
Conduct staff and employee meetings
Administration of company policy, including discussion and review with team members regarding policy issues and discipline.
Investigate and respond to Customer Complaints.
Maintain all daily, weekly, and monthly reports, audits and documentation as required.
Reviews paperwork of cable orders and raw material ready for testing; discusses the testing status in the Final Test Lab, Raw Materials Testing, and Product Qualification areas. Determines priorities, schedules the work, and assigns work ensuring efficient and accurate output.
Reviews, prepares, and/or submits safety reports, disciplinary action, time and attendance reports, vacation request, output reports, and procedure changes at a frequency defined by OFS (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.).
Reviews and analyzes quality problems cited on hold/stop tags and follows up to ensure that the appropriate corrective action has taken place.
Interviews job applicants (external and internal) for open quality inspector jobs.
Works with the Human Resources Departments to implement and administer the Quality Department Training and Certification program and updates training records.
Reviews employee's job performance and administers disciplinary action as required.
Must be able to create an atmosphere of teamwork and ownership while working with associates to help them develop the skills required to meet business objectives and sustain Continuous Improvement.
Must have a broad knowledge of such functions as report preparation, workflow, equipment operation, equipment maintenance, quality standards, and team behavior.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline
2 -4 years quality experience or related area
5 -7 years manufacturing experience, with strong emphasis on Quality Management
3 - 5 years proven experience in a leadership role leading and developing people
Previous manufacturing experience at the supervisory or management level
