Job Description:
Summary: A Quality Support Specialist audits internal processes to ensure compliance with the ISO9001 standard and to make sure our products meet the customer's expectations. They become an SME (Subject Matter Expert) on internal processes and look for inconsistencies or problems and work with process owners on ways to correct them. Manages and organizes internal and external documents and records for all areas of the business that affect our Quality Management System and Aviation Quality System, making sure all documents and records are current and easily retrievable. Is responsible for analyzing internal processes to ensure they produce products that meet our customer's and ISO9001 requirements.Duties and Responsibilities:* Audits: Maintain internal audit schedule and perform process audits at scheduled intervals to find any issues. Be a leader to other auditors making sure audits are performed on time and reporting is complete and accurate.* Reporting: Creates reports about process issues and works with process owners on root cause and corrective actions. In addition, verifies the effectiveness of corrective actions.* Safety Compliance: Make sure all employees are following safe practices.* Training and improvements: Mentor members of the auditing team to ensure best practices are followed and suggestions for improvements are implemented.* Documents: Working with process owners to create and update work instructions and forms with current practices, ensuring all documents are organized and compliant with customer and ISO9001 requirements.* Records: Ensure all records are retained and retrievable according to customer and ISO9001 requirements.* Databases: Working with process owners to maintain the various computer programs in use to revise and maintain documents.* Support Teams: Help employees easily find the documents needed to produce products that meet our customer's and ISO9001 requirements.* Metrics: Working with process owners to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using Excel to analyze data and understand trends.* Process Improvement: Recommend actions for process owners to make processes more efficient and reduce cost of poor quality. Verify the recommended actions are implemented.* Collaboration: Work closely with departments to keep process KPI's in-control.* Documenting and Reporting: Document defects, report findings, and track resolutions.Scope* Experience in using Excel to create pivot charts, formulas, and control charts.* Understand basic statistical concepts like mean, median and standard deviation.* Ability to identify process issues using statistical analysis and determine the actions needed to make improvements.* Ensuring data accuracy and correctly interpreting statistical results.* Experience auditing processes for a large ISO certified manufacturing company.* Have intermediate math skills.* Collaborate with teams to complete projects on time.* Have worked in a company with a well-developed safety culture which aims for zero accidents.* Familiar with the use of various document programs and Microsoft Office tools.Education and Experience* High School w/1-3 + years' experience or AA/AS/Technical School w/6 months experiencePhysical demands and abilities* Able to lift up to 35 pounds.* Regularly performs repetitive tasks.* Regularly possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.* Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.All Employees Shall:* Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements.* Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards.* Attending scheduled EH&S training program.* Actively support the organization's efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans* Recommend improved EH&S practices.Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and third parties.
