As Quality Systems Specialist, you will report directly to the Epiroc Drilling Solutions SHEQ & IMS Manager, playing a pivotal role in overseeing IMS systems at the Surface and Parts & Services Divisions in Garland, Texas. Your position is crucial for ensuring the robust operation and enhancement of IMS-related activities within the Garland TX facilities.
Responsibilities include leading internal audits, managing document control systems, driving sustainability reporting, record keeping, evaluating process efficiencies, maintaining compliance with policies, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Internal Audit
* Lead internal audits with precision and adherence to established procedures.
* Perform ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 audits reviewing quality systems, providing feedback, and preparing detailed audit reports.
* Maintain open communication with management and the audit committee.
* Document processes and prepare audit findings memoranda.
* Determine internal audit scope and develop annual audit plans.
* Conduct follow-up audits to monitor management's corrective actions.
* Track and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
* Mentor and support other internal auditors to enhance audit capabilities.
* Prepare and deliver sustainability reports that reflect audit results and document processes.
Quality System Review
* Review Epiroc quality system documentation and address areas of non-conformity.
* Administration of IMS Document Databases.
Process Enhancement
* Collaborate with process owners to implement effective corrective actions.
* Facilitate comprehensive root cause analysis to address nonconformities.
* Oversee document control processes to uphold regulatory requirements.
* Guide process mapping efforts to streamline operational workflows.
* Coordinate impactful training programs to enhance IMS systems and Policy awareness.
Special Projects and Leadership
* Undertake special projects as assigned by management, demonstrating leadership and initiative.
* Assist with Record Information Management, including communication of the Record Retention Schedule and tracking of records in off-site storage.
Training and Development
* Conduct specialized training sessions on SHEQ/IMS materials to enhance organizational proficiency.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a preference in Quality Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
* Minimum 5-years of experience as an Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor with ISO 9001,14001 and 45001 certifications.
* Excellent verbal/written communication skills and can convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
* Program Management experience and PMP certification is preferred.
* Experience in project management or leading projects related to information management initiatives is a plus.
* Proficient in administering and managing enterprise-level information management systems.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in computers: Microsoft Office Suite, with a particular emphasis on advanced Excel capabilities and adept at utilizing SharePoint.
