Come join HARIBO of America's first ever North American factory! Located on-site in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, the Quality Technician plays a key role in food safety. Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Technician is responsible for conducting testing procedures before, during, and after manufacturing processes of both raw materials and products to ensure that products comply with required quality standards with minimal downtime. This role is coordinates and executes the quality program designed to ensure the safe production of HARIBO of America brands, consistent with established standards.The original and iconic HARIBO Goldbears, created in 1922, have delighted kids and grown-ups for 100 years! Additionally, we offer community involvement opportunities and career growth opportunities.Responsibilities:Measure and monitor processes and products through the utilization of testing and procedures.Perform incoming goods, in process and finished product inspections per approved proceduresPerform sensory, physical, and packaging evaluations.Ensures that lab documents and lab data (paper and electronic) are properly classified, controlled, and stored.Performs analysis of samples as required using analytical instrumentation and benchtop methodologies.Ensure that all the measures to guarantee finished products' compliance with specifications are properly executed.Perform and/or verify equipment calibration per established procedures and frequencies as directed.Work collaboratively in a cross functional environment to mitigate food safety opportunities as needed.Qualifications:Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Biology or Food Science. Alternatively, a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Quality role at an FDA/USDA-regulated manufacturing facility, along with a high school diploma, will be considered.Experience in a Quality Control factory and/or laboratory testing environment preferred.Must have strong written, analytical and verbal communication skills.FSSC 22000/ISO 22000 Knowledge, HACCP Certification and/or experience.Demonstrate proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, or similar tools.Demonstrated ability to collaboratively work cross-functionally across departments is required.Proven ability to utilize systems and good administrative practices to maintain an efficient work schedule.Demonstrated ability to be resourceful and professionally persistent; able to problem solve and search for solutions using internal and external network/sources.Demonstrated ability to work independently with little supervision.Strong organizational skills required.The Happy World of HARIBO is more than a business; we're family.
