Shift: 1st shift but also sometimes may help out during times that overlap with 3rd or 2nd shifts.
JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Compliance/New Hire Onboarding Technician will be responsible for quality processes and procedures throughout the entire value steam. Support provided will include complaint investigations, reviewing quality requirements with customers and suppliers, compliance to the Quality Management System, New Hire Onboarding, and other tasks to help achieve the overall goal of enhancing customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. Candidate must also be able to be cross-trained as a Quality Technician to assist with laboratory coverage as needed. This position requires strong analytics, teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Participate in complaint investigations, failure analysis of returned products, and issues resulting in a stop ship/stop production; document findings and provide reports and analysis.
* Review specifications, reports, etc. to assure that appropriate requirements are specified and to evaluate/confirm quality requirements are identified prior to start of any order.
* Provide quality support to manufacturing in compliance with quality regulations of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016
* Internal Audits
* New Hire Onboarding
* Support Supplier Management Program in reviewing supplier performance and quality.
* Maintain and update Work Instructions, Quality Forms, and Procedures in the Document Management System
* Coordinate training with area management on updated forms and procedures.
* Implement and provide training on quality standards and activities.
* Ability to be cross-trained as a Quality Technician.
* Additional activities as assigned.
* Associate degree preferred
* 3-5 years of relatable work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Prior experience working in manufacturing/quality environment.
* Familiarity with accreditation (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, NIAC, NADCAP, or other equivalent)
* Experience with military, dental, and nuclear requirements a plus.
* Certified internal or lead auditor or ability to be trained.
* Familiarity with reading specifications and test methods
* Familiarity with performing laboratory analysis
* Calibration/Metrology Techniques
