SUMMARYThis associate works directly with the Quality Engineers to monitor customer quality and resolve customer quality issues proactively and reactively. This role interacts with a variety of departments including Design Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, Production, Customer Service, Material Planning and Sales. The position allows the individual to identify trends through data analysis and with guidance from the Quality Engineer, take actions as needed based on the analysis.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for assisting during product launch to ensure compliance to customer requirements and our quality management system, as well as provide feedback from quality data to the product transfer process
- Support the Operations Team/ Production Quality Technicians to ensure that launched products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the customer and the quality management system
- Analyze data sets and determine critical trends, metrics, and conclusions
- Utilize engineering resources to develop solutions to corrective actions and/or actions resulting from data analysis
- Provide direct customer support for regular quality metric reporting and performance monitoring, including leading any actions that may result from this activity
- Provide direct customer support for quality escalations and response to formal correction actions (CAPA)
- Take ownership of product and process improvement activities based on customer feedback, new product launches and quality data analysis
- Know, promote and teach quality procedures and processes
- Lead structured corrective action processes identifying root cause, effective solutions and implementation
- Assist other members in analyzing data and make corrections to the process based upon data
- Effectively communicate technical issues and data analysis summaries with all parts of the organization. This includes being able to communicate effectively regarding the status of products and processes and the priority of associated actions
- Identify, summarize and present process and product issues and business cases for solutions requiring management attention
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Required:
- Associate's degree and 2 years of experience in a related Quality field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Data analysis skills, with demonstrated intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred
- Excellent communication, project/task management, problem solving and failure analysis
