Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform visual and dimensional inspection using hand and automated inspection tools.Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.Must be fully competent in using hand inspection tools (ie micrometers, calipers, height gage, universal protractor, etc.)Must be fully competent in using automated inspection tools (i.e. CMM, 2D inspection Machine, etc.)Must be computer literate and can process and collect inspection dataMust have a great attention to detail, able to complete tasks under time constraints, be dependable and persistent in completing tasksMust have knowledge of quality principles and be able to perform quality related tasks including planning/completing first articles.Participate in team meetings and effectivelyWill perform additional tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager.Qualification Requirements
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Technician roleKnowledge of and experience with hand and automated inspection equipmentComputer literate and able to process inspection data in a timely mannerOne year or more quality experience working in an aerospace, military or related mechanical product facilityExperience with supplier self-release programs for aerospace (GE, Rolls Royce etc) preferredEducation
- Two-year associate's in science degree.
- High School education required, will consider individuals with significant positive experience with quality initiatives without degree
